O grupo 13 Volts, formado há seis anos na zona norte de Sorocaba, lançou em 2006, o álbum “Saio do Gueto Sou Suspeito”, seu primeiro trabalho de forma independente. Segundo os integrantes, o objetivo do 13 Volts “é curtir e cantar o RAP brasileiro sem perder suas raízes, que costumam abordar o cotidiano da periferia”.
Formado por DJ Subrinho, Bruxo SR, Seco e Márcio Brown. O grupo 13 Volts surge do fim dos grupos Fora do Crime, Sistem Rap, Alvos do Sistema e Custo Fatal que, decidiram formar o 13 Volts por terem objetivos semelhantes com a música da Cultura Hip Hop.
Participaram em mostra não competitiva como Votobandas e ao mesmo palco com Sabotage, Racionais MCs, Consciência Humana, Expressão Ativa, Ao Cubo, DBS e a Quadrilha, RZO, X da Questão, X4 e Impacto, nas cidades de São Paulo, Itapetininga, Itapeva, Votorantim, Itu, Porto Feliz e Indaiatuba.
Com letras próprias e tem o titulo “Saio do Gueto Sou Suspeito” o CD tem a produção de Bruxo SR e Mixagem do DJ Silvio Muller que assina também um remix da musica Só Somzera. O CD foi feito com recursos próprios e produção totalmente independente e tem a participação do grupo Itinerário de Sorocaba.
No ano de 2008, participam da gravação do DVD coletânea ao vivo União do Sudoeste, com participação de grupos de Campinas, Ribeirão Preto, Itapeva, Apiai e Sorocaba, gravado na cidade de Itapeva.
Estão em fase de produção preparando a gravação do primeiro vídeo-clipe do CD com a musica “Paixão Estranha” com muitas participações locais, e já iniciaram as gravações do novo CD previsto para 2009.
